Shiva Raj Chalise

Shiva is a highly qualified and experienced tourism and business operator.  Starting as a tour guide he was formerly the Managing Director of Mountain River Rafting (p.).Ltd, as well as Managing Director of Orient Paradise Tours and Travels (p.).Ltd.  He is currently Managing Director of Nepal Wildlife Resort (P.) Ltd .  Shiva is passionate about Adventure Tourism and his expertise is second to none.

With over 20 years travel experience and many years working in Japan,  Shiva brings to  Nepal Wildlife Resort  a wide variety of skills.  Along with his friendly nature, Shiva will do his utmost to bring the ultimate Nepal experience.

Nepal Wildlife Resort Pvt.Ltd
Unique & Exclusive Nepal Wildlife Resort is situated of the south west Nepal at the best location at Bardia National Park on the bank of one of the tributaries of the Karnali River. NWR operates with the philosophy that time& patience will reward both the serious & amateur naturalists with rich opportunities for wildlife viewing. With this view in mind we have built a view tower where guest can sit quietly & in protected comfort, watch the wildlife. It provides the unique opportunity to observe wildlife from a close range. The atmosphere we provide is clean and comfortable with the possibilities of staying in our lodge accommodations. Our staff consists of competent professionals dedicated to provide you with the necessary arrangement to make your wildlife experience a unique and memorable one. The Tharus, one of the ethnic tribes of Nepal, living nearby village will perform a traditional Tharu cultural dance in our Camp to entertain you in the evening.

Lodge Facilities:
We offer a comfortable atmosphere, proper bedrooms with fan, attached shower hot  and toilet. There is running hot and cold water for all 24 hours. A dining hall where is served continental, Chinese, Indian and Nepalese dishes prepared by our well-trained cook. We will not only provide you with delicious food but also local and imported beverages are available at the bar. We have a bar, which is open till late night. We have 24 hours guard. You can enjoy on the view tower. We have power-full WiFi.We have cycle facility for our guest .

Dining/Seminar hall:
It offers the convention facility with capacities of up to 80 people. It has 37 feet x 23 feet space Dining hall. But in this area there is no electricity so we are using generator for Light, Refrigerator and Fan. Our smile and very friend staff conference support team makes Seminar hall one of the most attractive convention destination in the Bardia.

When to come:
Our camp and Bardia National Park open all year around.
The best season is October through May but the whole year is possible for the program.

Climate:
September to October & March to April: The days are hot (70-80 f), however, by evening it cools down again. November to February: The days are pleasant whilst the mornings and evenings are cool. From May to August: The days are hot and the nights are warm and slightly humid.

What to wear:
Dress at the NWR is completely casual both during the day and in the evening. Jungle colors such as beige, brown, khaki and green are least disturbing to the environment and therefore most appropriate. Comfortable safari clothes and shoes make for easy walking are recommended. For visits during March to September and early October, light summer clothing is needed and swimwear and raingear are useful. During November to February, sweaters and warm jackets are required for the mornings and evening.

What to bring:

  • Binoculars.
  • Flashlight.
  • Personal medical requirements, sun -hat, sun-guard and insect repellent.
  • Casual and comfortable clothes and shoes for easy movement while on safaris.
